State Political Action

Our nation began as a compact or union of sovereign states. Our constitution reserves to the states or to the people all powers not specifically granted to the federal government. States must re-assert that sovereignty and not consent to continued centralization of power in an unresponsive, nonrepresentative national government.

The Once and Future Militia

Most people know the popularized story of how the American Revolution – its kinetic phase, anyway – began on April, 19, 1775, when the Massachusetts militia turned out to oppose a British column marching from Boston to Concord to seize arms and military stores accumulated there by the colonists. Myths have grown up around the events of that day, re...

Small Steps: Creating Change in Your Community

We came across a couple of anonymous posts on an online forum recently where someone laid out the steps they had been taking in their county to bring about real political change. Starting small, networking, organizing others and building on each little success had generated significant momentum and had opened up the prospects for state wide impact....

Primary Concerns

August 16th was Primary Election Day in Wyoming. From our perspective, of the imminent crises facing the state, the nation, and the world, we draw several conclusions. For readers who are not residents of Wyoming, the political reality here, broadly drawn, is this. The state is overwhelmingly Republican. Most elective state and local offices are de...

Things Are Moving Fast

In many ways the current situation is deteriorating quickly. We can sense the whiffs of chaos on the horizon and each new day seems to bring a yet another data point. It can be difficult, if not impossible, to keep up with everything that is happening. And it is all too easy to be overwhelmed or, equally, distracted by one crazy story after another...

Do Not Rejoice in Their Defeat

Recent SCOTUS decisions have boosted morale among liberty-conscious conservatives, but the Empire aways strikes back. Let's consider what these events mean, and what must be done to solidify resistance and exploit success.  Donald Trump, in the most lasting achievement of his presidency, left us with a conservative majority on the U.S. Supreme...

While there is som...

Here we will explore one powerful option that would support that goal. One way available to States generally, and to Wyoming in particular, to reduce dependence on t...

What Can Be Done? - Part 2: States’ Rights Under the Constitution and Court Precedent

What Can Be Done (Part 2): States' Rights Under the Constitution and Court Precedent Part 1 of this series discussed the unlikelihood of addressing the current crisis through electoral means at the federal level. Instead, we need to turn to one of the fundamental concepts of the Founding Fathers: federalism. The United States was formed as a union ...

What Can Be Done? - Part 1

Part 1 The American republic faces its greatest existential threat since its founding. We must see this threat for what it is, and then find ways to defeat it and preserve the nation our forefathers founded. For the moment, the levers of power in Washington are out of the hands of Constitutionally-motivated American patriots. The Judicial Branch is...

Taking Back Your Community: School Boards

Sadly but truly, "everything is political." The first steps toward stopping and rolling back the Left in the culture war they have been waging for decades can be taken at the local level, and elected school boards are a great place to start.  Take back from whom? From the left-liberals with a mission, the activists and 'community organizers' w...
