Lines in the Sand

There is an old line about somebody who has nothing left has nothing left to lose. The idea being that someone who is pushed and pushed, punished and penalized, stripped of everything they care about and loses it all finally becomes extremely dangerous and willing to do whatever it takes to fight back and take on their oppressor. While there is some truth to this, history shows many instances where the results took a very different path. Jews across Europe in World War Two put up very little resistance during the initial Nazi round ups. Denial quickly turned to apathy once they were too weak and too controlled to do anything about their situation. Even the Polish Jews in the Warsaw ghetto took too long to rise up and by then the odds against them were even worse. Solzhenitsyn describes the same trajectory as he laments from Stalin's gulag how different things would have been if he and his fellow prisoners had fought back en mass against the secret police when being arrested in the cities and shipped off.

The psychology of groups plays a key role here: every despotic regime's Pied Piper always tries to play a sweet enough tune that the target population (be it the rats of Hamelin or violent domestic extremists aka conservative white men and women) comply with the least amount of fuss. Lies, assurances and promises are showered down from on high. Inflation will only be transitory, if you like your doctor you can keep your doctor, just two weeks to flatten the curve, too big to fail. All demonstrable untruths, told in a cold, calculating, murderous way so that they can remove another piece from the Jenga tower. Whatever it takes to grab more power, breed more chaos and neutralize opposition.

The irony here is that the psychology of groups can work equally for freedom and righteousness too. The fact is that our oppressors are in the minority. We outnumber them greatly. We can surround them. At least 80 million people voted to keep Donald Trump and reject a socialist takeover. Nowhere near that number voted for a pathetic dementia patient and a talentless grackle, let alone the evil Red Revolutionaries behind them pulling all the strings. But when the enemy controls the mainstream media, culture, big tech and academia it can easily appear that they carry the overwhelming majority. It is fake. Pure suppression of the bulk of us who know something is very wrong, believe in America as founded and know the divine importance of a Constitutional Republic. The problem is that we have been too busy for too long getting on with the American dream, biting our tongues and living and letting live.

We must all now look up and look over the horizon. It is not enough to simply see what is happening right now. We need to squint and glimpse into the future. Just as the Jews in World War Two and Soviet political prisoners soon after wished they had done, we need to see the signs of where all of this is headed, put in some tripwires and formulate a plan. We must not wait until we have nothing left to lose but rather decide to fight long before that point. We need to fight against the Devil in front of us and for all that we love and cherish behind us. Each of us needs to decide our own lines in the sand.

So, what is your tipping point? What counts as an enemy stepping too far? What makes you so sick and tired of the situation that you are willing to risk your life, fortune and sacred honor to do something about it?

Is it any of the following?

- A stolen Presidential election?

- A 20 year war that ends in humiliation, defeat and the arming of a sworn terrorist enemy with $80 billion in modern weaponry?

- A government which deliberately gets Marines killed, murders innocent children in fake revenge and abandons American citizens in a terrorist state?

- Incessant printing of money and murder of the dollar?

- The corruption only hinted at in lost laptops?

- Ten percent for the "Big Guy"?

- A government that thinks it can force you to stay home and prevent you from earning a living in the name of bad pandemic science?

- Mandatory vaccines for something little more deadly that seasonal flu?

- A government that pays people more to be unemployed than they can earn in many decent jobs?

- A government that makes you a criminal overnight by banning something you bought legally?

- A government that puts you on a terrorist no fly list for being at a peaceful protest against a stolen election?

- A government that incarcerates and persecutes political prisoners without trial as a deterrence to others while BLM and Antifa rioters guilty of much worse are let go?

- A corporation that does the government's dirty work by denying you a job/credit card/bank account/insurance etc because you vote a certain way?

- A government that seizes your guns under a Red Flag law after an anonymous tip off from an activist enemy?

- A government which requires official ID to get on a plane or train or buy an automobile but works really hard to ensure that anyone can vote without one?

- A government that seizes your money and keeps it without warrant or trial unless you can prove that it was legally obtained?

- A government that wants the IRS to have access to anything you do at your bank over $600 so they can tax you more?

- A government that prints so much money that actual tax revenue is dwarfed and essentially punitive against those who actually contribute to the functioning side of the economy?

- A government which weaponizes the IRS to target its political opponents?

If not any of the above, how about something from just over the horizon?

- The Democrats win the 2022 midterms and the 2024 Presidential elections in landslides owing to mandatory mail in ballots during the Covid 20 and Covid 21 (respectively) national lockdowns.

- The greatly expanded Supreme Court now has a 10 to 5 Leftist majority whose first major decision was to uphold a Federal ban on all semi automatic weapons.

- Inflation breaks through the 25% barrier and appears to rising at ever faster rates. Your biggest preoccupation is making ends meet and putting sufficient food on the table for your family. Food riots begin to break out in the cities and a new law targets anyone found to be hoarding food supplies to have their home seized for government redistribution. The federal income tax rate for the top 40% of earners now stands at 80%. The bottom 40% of earners pay not income tax at all.

- To further supplement the federal tax rate, legislation is passed introducing a national value added tax which is paid on any transaction between producer and distributor and distributor and retailer and retailer and customer. It is initially set at 10% but quickly rises to 25% in each step.

- Your social credit score is poor because of your voting pattern, the right wing media that you consume and your purchase history indicates domestic extremist tendencies. Your interest rate on your car loan is 3 times higher than average and you cannot qualify for a mortgage. You are not allowed to fly and have to ask special permission to leave your state.

- Because you own guns and refuse to surrender them, your health insurance is ten times higher than average. In the new single payer government run system there are no other options and you always find yourself at the back of the (long) line for any consultations and treatments.

- For refusing Covid vaccinations you already lost your job but now have to contend with the state taking your kids into foster care to protect them from you. The earliest custody hearing you were given was 8 months away.

- The Democrats exercise the nuclear option in the Senate and end the filibuster. All future legislation is passed on a simple majority. Every six months a new "human infrastructure" spending bill is passed at an average of US 2 trillion.

- A Federal Reparations bill is passed to take more money from you who has never owned slaves to give to people who never were slaves on an issue which was fully corrected by the first Civil War?

- Following an increasing number of Department of Justice investigations into bias in state and local police forces, a national Federal police force is proposed along with the disbandment of all other law enforcement agencies.

- After the latest Wall Street crash, Washington DC passes legislation to take over all 401k and other pension plans in return for a promised rate of return in a revamped Social Security scheme.

- An FBI undercover investigation into a violent domestic extremist group in the hills of South Dakota finds evidence of manufacturing of now illegal ghost guns, interest in explosives and talk of attacking federal buildings. ATF, FBI and US Marshals surround their compound and, once all 8 federal undercover agents and informants are moved to safety, they create a stand-off which lasts 51 days, involves two shoot outs and, during the final assault, results in the death of 76 people including 25 children, as the compound is burned to the ground.

Now that you have drawn up a list of your own lines in the sand and are prepared to do something, what might you do? Unlike the Jews or the Soviet dissidents we have not left things too late and are not at the point of violent strikes against the regime. May that day never come. And our efforts now will help ensure it never does.

Instead, let us resolve to make our state a solid line of defense against Washington DC. Work in your local community to recruit like minded people to this cause. The bigger the group, the more the state politicians will listen. Discuss with them some or all of the following ways to tell the Democrats that enough is enough. Reinforce the true meaning of the Tenth Amendment. Help make states supreme again. Prod, persuade, push and cajole your representatives to build a political coalition for Wyoming to:

- Become a First Amendment sanctuary state that penalizes social media companies for censoring political speech and holds them accountable for manipulating politics.

- Become a Second Amendment sanctuary state that refuses to recognize any new anti-gun laws out of DC, forbids any state officials from enforcing or helping to enforce such laws and removes all cooperation with federal agencies on them. Another step is then to actively resist and remove any federal efforts to enforce these laws from within the boundary of the state. And other unjust, unacceptable federal gun control laws from the 1934 National Firearms Act onward would also be reviewed and, where found wanting, removed from effect within the state.

- Instruct its residents to refrain from submitting taxes directly to DC and instead remit them to the state. The state would then negotiate with DC over the balance between federal taxes and the funding received in return.

- Take back all federal lands and return them to state controlled

- Open up all lands for oil, gas and mineral extraction and exploitation. Create an independent economy

- Prepare for an independent, non fiat, non crypto currency for when the federal government finally succeeds in destroying the US dollar

- Work to build a strong coalition of like minded states who take similar positions and work closely to defend these new positions and the US Constitution.
