Billboards We Would All Like to See

When you fly into Cody Wyoming and exit the airport into town, you will be greeted by a billboard which says "Don't California Our Cody". It was put there by Erik Prince, of the private military contractor company Blackwater fame. His family own a ranch nearby, in the North Fork of the Shoshone River on the way to Yellowstone. Lots of out of staters have been moving to the area over the last few years, accelerated by the Covid pandemic insanity. Many Californians are among them and the local buzz is that the billionaires moving into Jackson on the other side of Wyoming have pushed out the multi-millionaires who in turn have pushed out lots of locals in the North Fork. Liberals from California and liberals from Teton County may be woo'd by the natural beauty, the RELATIVE affordability and the desire to get away from the excesses of liberal policies. But the sentiment is the same:  

- do not bring your politics with you

- do not try to change the way things are done here

- remember why you escaped whichever hell hole you came from.

We can only hope that this first winter runs them off. If not, it is, unfortunately, too often the case that such refugees experience a mental illness relapse. They soon set about trying to "improve" the local way of life using the exact same formula that ruined wherever they abandoned. More services, higher taxes, more conservation, more recycling, more laws, less hunting, less tree harvesting, more guilt trips, more defund that and subsidize this, more complaints, more drama, more wokeism. Just look at Denver CO, Missoula and Bozeman MT, Boise ID and Austin Texas to name but a few.

The spirit of Karen is strong, corrosive and perverse. One day we may need to start vetting wannabe residents of the state and retain the right to kick them out if they promise one thing but do another. But we are not quite there yet. For now, we should take a lead from Mr Prince and find every opportunity to fire a (proverbial) warning shot across their bows.

Another billboard in Cody welcomes visitors and new residents by reminding them that locals like to hunt and trap, including wolves. For a while a resident in Moneta WY was flying the Chinese flag in protest at a stolen election and the corruption of the Biden family. A billboard in Cheyenne told Representative Liz Cheney to stay in Washington as Wyoming did not need her. Of course, big out of state dark money put up their own billboard thanking Cheney for sticking to the Constitution by voting to impeach President Trump a second time.

Billboards have also been sprouting up around the country expressing disdain towards the Biden Whitehouse: "Making the Taliban Great Again" in PA; "Don't Blame Trump, you are stuck with these two shitheads" in MD (Biden and Harris sitting in fecal matter); and a clueless Biden eating an ice cream cone while a helicopter rescues Americans from the Embassy roof in Kabul in the background in NC. Along with the Biden "I did this" stickers turning up on gas pumps across the US, these are all examples of guerrilla marketing of a political resistance which doesn't rely on mainstream or social media but leverages second and third order effects by being reported in newspapers and passed around on Twitter or Facebook. The "Fuck Joe Biden" and "Don't Blame Me I Voted for Trump" flags form part of the same resistance. The brilliant "Let's Go Brandon" substitute for the former has gone viral and deserves to be found everywhere.

We should all have some fun dreaming up memes, stickers and, yes, even billboards we would like to see. Ready made flags, stickers and T-shirts are available all over Amazon, Etsy, Ebay and Redbubble. And there are plenty of better, smaller and more patriotic retailers out there doing the same. But there is huge scope for coming up with your own. Find a friend with a Cricut machine and churn out vinyl car stickers or T-shirt prints to a unique design. Use a print service or print your own stickers for the gas pumps. Give them away to your group for distribution or have a little side hustle selling them to cover your costs and make a bit extra. Get your group together and do a fundraiser to buy actual billboard space. It is not as expensive as you might think.

As for the designs, well there is no limit to what you and your friends could come up with. Take the gloves off, capture your frustrations with the hypocrisy and the double standards, point out the mental ills of the Left, draw a line in the sand, highlight their flawed logic, expose their true agenda, unmask their cultural Marxism.

- Biden giving $80 billion in weaponry to the Taliban while instructing the ATF to take homemade guns and pistol braces away from law abiding US citizens or Beto O'Rourke saying "Damn right we're coming after your AR15s"

- Taxation is theft under a state monopoly on legalized violence. The only question is how big you let the thief get

- Liberals no longer welcome here. They are all socialists now.

- Liberalism is a mental disorder (possible picture of someone wearing a mask on their own in a car)

- Better Dead than Red

- Make/Keep Wyoming Commie Free

- Hitler was a Socialist too

- Liz Cheney: when loyalty to your daddy's old boss trumps the voters you work for

- Last time we checked, it said nothing in the Cowboy Code about ten percent for the big guy
