The Political Right has so many self-inflicted constraints it can be surprising that it ever gets to wield or keep any power at all. The so-called leadership wants to be courted by the Washington media and dinner party circuit such that it will do anything to avoid their rejection. They think the game is still the same, where the old rules apply and they remain willing to compromise across the aisle in the name of progress and being liked. Too many become addicted to power and stray far away from principles and values. How many say one thing to get elected and then do another in office? The party that backs the Patriot Act, votes to print ever increasing amounts of money and creates the Department of Homeland Security and the TSA is no longer for individual freedom, small government and living within one's means.
In Wyoming, how many politicians would be Democrats in any other state but have to put an "R" after their name to stand a chance? The good old boys club in the Legislature has become so comfortable and complacent that it lets this happen without the blink of an eye. The same was true in Colorado at the end of the 90s: a very red state in which it was inconceivable that the Left could mount any form of threat. But complacency kills and in just a few short years a concerted effort by a small group of radical millionaires created a well funded, grass roots united front which perfected postal election fraud and created its very own deep state (see The Blueprint by Schrager and Witwer).
Our enemy will do anything to win, cares for rules only when it suits them, has nothing it will not sacrifice to build power and, ultimately, hates the US as founded. They are a potent potion of angry nobility who know better than everyone else, want to dictate every facet of our lives and believe themselves to be superior in every way. They preside over a cauldron of broken souls: victims who are owed everything; activists who find meaning in tearing others down; legions of robots paid to amplify the message; hateful useful idiots in violent radical groups; and willing sycophants in media, culture, tech and academia who joined the club at an early age to reap its benefits. The common theme is that they think emotionally, not rationally nor critically, and have to quickly revert to accusations of racism, domestic extremism, Nazism and white privilege to end any discussion that challenges their perverted view of reality and human nature. At its most fundamental, Liberalism is a mental disease. These are insecure people laden with guilt who do not trust themselves and, therefore, project their deficiencies on the rest of the world.
The real problem, however, is that we are the ones who have allowed all of this to happen. For decades we have neglected the political process. The Left's incrementalism has eroded meaningful resistance, capturing each of their little victories for the long term and never giving up ground. We have been far too busy getting on with our lives, raising our families, living and letting live. Working hard, earning an honest living and building a future has left precious little time to take a stand on a thousand little things which, by now, have grown together into an existential threat to the Western way of life. With each of these thousand cuts we have accepted or at least tolerated the political correctness and the propaganda used to push their agenda. Too fearful of being called out, of being isolated and beat down, everyone has bitten their lips countless times. This has led directly to today's "woke cancel culture" in which they are emboldened and have refined their methods. Our silence has been compliance.
All is not lost. Now that the stakes are so high, we need to re-prioritize. We may have delegated the education of our children to public indoctrination camps or we never made time to join that Tea Party protest. We may have handed over vast sums of our own money to build the college ivory towers so we could get one of their degrees or we supported through years of cable subscriptions the TV channels of people who would see us crushed. But we can begin to take a stand against all of this, to hold the line and push back. There are boycotts to undertake, meetings to attend, allies to be made, marches to go on, letters to write, telephone calls to be made, politicians to badger, legislation to propose and many more ways to Stand Tall. The Silent Majority needs to be much less silent and much less concerned about the majority. Small groups of people can light the path and inspire the rest. If not you, who? If not now, when? As Samuel Adams said:
"It does not take a majority to prevail... but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brush fires of freedom in the minds of men."
We want to help. We have good ideas on what needs to be done and plenty of solid information to go with it. Not all of it will chime with you and that is okay. Take what you can use, what makes sense and come up with your own strategy. Your own ideas are likely to be better than ours and the implementation will definitely be all yours. But let us help you with inspiration, encouragement and knowledge. And let us help make you tougher, better prepared and surrounded by people who have your back.
There is a certain internet lore about the following anonymous passage concerning "Men Who Wanted to be Left Alone". It captures very well the seething frustrations of the many on the Right who are very tolerant of others and never really cared what they did among themselves. But everyone has a breaking point beyond which they will take no more when they are attacked, demonized and marginalized.
The most terrifying force of death, comes from the hands of "Men who wanted to be left Alone". They try, so very hard, to mind their own business and provide for themselves and those they love.They resist every impulse to fight back, knowing the forced and permanent change of life that will come from it.
They know, that the moment they fight back, the lives as they have lived them, are over.The moment the "Men who wanted to be left Alone" are forced to fight back, it is a small form of suicide.
They are literally killing off who they used to be....
Which is why, when forced to take up violence, these "Men who wanted to be left Alone", fight with unholy vengeance against those who murdered their former lives.They fight with raw hate, and a drive that cannot be fathomed by those who are merely play-acting at politics and terror.TRUE TERROR will arrive at the Left's door, and they will cry, scream, and beg for mercy....
But it will fall upon deaf ears.
This time may well come but not if we can help it. We should all commit to actions now which will avoid and deter that day. Let's take over the school boards and county commissioners. Let's hold the Legislature accountable. Let's unplug from the toxic media matrix. Let's make some new laws that make a difference and get rid of bad old ones. Let's reassert our principles and values. Let us all Stand Tall.
